BITUMEN MEMBRANES
CEMIX BITUPROOF PLUS is a bitumen waterproofing membrane, designed for use on a variety of surfaces in positive pressure applications. For exterior, below ground use only.
TYPICAL USES:
CEMIX BITUPROOF PLUS can be used as an exterior, below ground waterpoofer on surfaces including:
• Concrete and masonry retaining walls
• Wooden and aluminum posts
ADVANTAGES:

• Acid and alkalline resistant
YIELD:
Varies according to the substrate condition.
Approximately 2m2 per litre of product, per coat. A minimum of two coats is recommended.
STANDARDS:
Conforms to NZS 3604:1999. Complies with NZ Building Code Clause E2/AS1.
PREPARATION:
The substrate should be free of dust, grease, wax, oil, dirt,loose plaster, laitance, curing compounds, paint and all other friable materials and contaminants likely to prevent bonding.
New concrete should be left with a wood float finish and sufficiently aged as per manufacturer recommendations.
All substrates should be structurally sound, securely fastened and properly supported to eliminate any movement that may cause cracking.
The substrate should ideally be dry or damp (at most) but not wet.
