COVERAGE:
PREPARATION:
The substrate should be free of dust, grease, wax, oil, dirt, loose plaster, laitance, curing compounds, paint and all other friable materials and contaminants likely to prevent the adhesive bonding.
New concrete should be left with a wood float finish and sufficiently aged as per manufacturer’s recommendations.
All substrates should be structurally sound, securely fastened and properly supported to eliminate any movement that may cause cracking.
CEMIX screeds, floor levellers and plasters must be allowed to cure.
It is recommended to prime the surface with a CEMIX bonding agent before the application of CEMIX CARPET ADHESIVE.
MIXING:
No mixing required.
APPLICATION:
1. Stir before use.
2. Spread the adhesive on the substrate with a V notched trowel. The adhesive must be tacky before the carpet is placed onto the substrate.
To check if the adhesive is tacky, place a small piece of carpet onto the adhesive, and then pull away. If there are visible strings of adhesive, then the adhesive is tacky.
DRYING & CURING TIME:
Once the carpet has been laid, it must not be trafficked upon or disturbed for a minimum of 24 hours at 20°C. If application is over a non-porous substrate, allow for a minimum of 48 hours at 20°C. Note that the cure time will be delayed if the temperature is below 20°C and/or there is insufficient air circulation.
CLEANING:
Clean tools with water immediately after use.
STORAGE & SHELF LIFE:
Up to 12 months when stored in the original, unopened packaging, in a dry place at 23°C and 50% relative humidity.
LIMITATIONS:
Not suitable for exterior use. Not suitable for continuous water immersion applications i.e. swimming pools and spas etc.
