LOW CARBON CEMENT
CEMIX ECO STRONG is high quality blended cement with furnace slag to produce a lower carbon blended cement, used in civil, commercial, industrial and residential applications.
Furnace slag is a Supplementary Cementitious Materials, the use of this product allows us to create a more sustainable cement with 30% Lower Embodied Carbon.

TYPICAL USES:
Used as a binding agent in concrete when mixed with sand and aggregates, mortars and renders for application including:
• Brick & Block Work
• Fence Posts
• Foundations & Footings
• Paths
• Retaining Walls
ADVANTAGES:
• Achieves the same MPa strength as CEMIX GP CEMENT at 7 & 28 days tests
• Reduced heat created during curing process which reduces the risk of cracking
• Improved long term strength at 56 day test
• Reduced potential for alkali-silica reaction due to presence of supplementary cementitious materials in mix

DRYING & CURING:
It is recommended that all mixes containing CEMIX ECO STRONG be cured for at least 28 days, if using moulds please leave product to cure for 5-7 days, we do recommend you do a test run where possible. Avoid walking or driving on fresh concrete for at least 7 days. Please ensure when using CEMIX ECO STRONG that product is mixed well should any additives be present in your mix. To attain the maximum compressive strength of mixes, minimise water loss during the curing process. Regardless of the curing method, do not apply any sealers to freshly laid concrete for 28 days.
