BONDING AGENTS
Cemix Super Primer is specially formulated for use on challenging substrates where good bonding is difficult, such as PVC, plastic, glazed tile or very smooth concrete. By creating a reliable tacky layer, it ensures that Cemix products like levellers, repairers and adhesives bond strongly and securely. It’s ready to use straight from the container — no dilution needed — making it a simple but highly effective step in preparing surfaces for high-performance finishes.
TYPICAL USES:
Priming smooth or dense concrete before applying levelling compounds or patch mortars
Preparing masonry or rendered surfaces for tile adhesive or repair mortars
Bonding over fibrous cement sheeting, plasterboard, or plywood to support levellers or tile adhesives
Covering PVC or plastic surfaces so tile adhesives or Cemix levellers will adhere
Suitable for interior and exterior applications
Ideal for “tile-on-tile” projects where you want to re-tile over existing tile
Suitable for interior and exterior use.

COVERAGE:
Varies according to the substrate condition. Approximately 6m² to 10m² per litre of product.
PREPARATION:
The substrate should be free of dust, grease, wax, oil, dirt, loose plaster, laitance, curing compounds, paint and all other friable materials and contaminants likely to prevent the adhesive bonding. New concrete should be left with a wood float finish and sufficiently aged as per manufacturer’s recommendations. All substrates should be structurally sound, securely fastened and properly supported to eliminate any movement that may cause cracking. Dampen the substrate with clean water immediately before the application of CEMIX SUPER PRIMER.
MIXING:
Use CEMIX SUPER PRIMER undiluted. No mixing required.
APPLICATION:
1. Stir before use.
2. Apply the undiluted product to the substrate with a brush or roller.
Note: Allow CEMIX SUPER PRIMER to dry before the subsequent application of another CEMIX product.
DRYING & CURING TIME:
Drying time depends on the substrate, substrate condition, climate, the type of application and the materials being applied. As a guideline, drying time is approximately 20 minutes.
