CEMIX SUPER PRIMER is a water based primer, designed to improve the adhesion of CEMIX® products to a variety of smooth, dense and non-porous substrates.

TYPICAL USES:

CEMIX SUPER PRIMER can be used on concrete, masonry, cement renders, screeds, fibrous cement sheeting, plasterboard, timber, timber sheeting (plywood and particleboard), PVC, plastic, stone and ceramic tiles. It can be used with the subsequent application of CEMIX tile adhesives, floor levellers and floor repairers on substrates as per the manufacturer’s recommendations for these. Suitable for interior and exterior use.

ADVANTAGES:

• Suitable for tile on tile application

• Can be used on PVC and plastic

COVERAGE:

Varies according to the substrate condition. Approximately 6m2 to 10m2 per litre of product.

PREPARATION:

The substrate should be free of dust, grease, wax, oil, dirt, loose plaster, laitance, curing compounds, paint and all other friable materials and contaminants likely to prevent the adhesive bonding. New concrete should be left with a wood float finish and sufficiently aged as per manufacturer’s recommendations. All substrates should be structurally sound, securely fastened and properly supported to eliminate any movement that may cause cracking. Dampen the substrate with clean water immediately before the application of CEMIX SUPER PRIMER.

MIXING:

Use CEMIX SUPER PRIMER undiluted. No mixing required.

APPLICATION:

1. Stir before use.

2. Apply the undiluted product to the substrate with a brush or roller.

Note: Allow CEMIX SUPER PRIMER to dry before the subsequent application of another CEMIX product.

DRYING & CURING TIME:

Drying time depends on the substrate, substrate condition, climate, the type of application and the materials being applied. As a guideline, drying time is approximately 20 minutes.
